Youth Ministries
The Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church Collinsville exists to LOVE God, SERVE others, TELL others about Jesus, GROW to be like Jesus, and to have FUN with one another.

We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 for FUEL, our version of Sunday School. Our leaders are Jeremy Craven, Stacy Craven, Betty Crotty, Kellie Pagans, Matt Pagans and Tim Gary. We meet in the Lighthouse (Room 301), on the top floor of the church (click here to view the church layout).

We also meet weekly for P&W (praise and worship), Wednesday evenings at 6:30. We hang out together and play pool, table soccer, ping pong, and video games, and we skateboard on our half pipe. We sing worship songs and hear a relevant message from God’s Word. This is a great time for introducing our friends to the church and to Jesus.

We get together monthly for fun outreach activities that are designed to be wild and crazy times just to get together. Again, this is a great time to bring friends who don’t go to church or have a relationship with Jesus.

We serve Jesus by collecting an offering to support our missionaries, Ryan, Rebecca, and Caleb Beachy and One Life Revolution, a ministry to AIDS orphans in Africa. We are also involved in community mission projects through construction projects. We collect food for our local food bank and we have also volunteered at the Roanoke Rescue Mission, and the Community Storehouse. This past summer, 9 of us traveled to Mobile, Alabama and participated in a World Changers Construction Project.

Throughout the school year, we are involved in small groups that help us to grow to be like Jesus.

In July, we participate in the Youth Evangelism Conference in Richmond which is sponsored by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. In the winter, we attend Winterfest at Liberty University. This summer, we will be attending Centrifuge at Ridgecrest.
