Our seniors are a link to our church heritage. They are an active group of senior adults who share their gifts in many of the ministries of the church. There are also various senior adult ministries of a social and service nature. Senior Adult Trips: Day trips are planned monthly. Some are local trips and some are bus trips to such places as Hamrick's in Winston-Salem, Mabry Mill, church pageants in Roanoke and locally, Old Salem, Floyd, Lexington, Tanglewood Park in Clemmons to see the Christmas lights, and Dutch Country in Pennsylvania. Friendship Singers: This is our senior adult choir. They practice on the second Wednesday of each month. The Friendship Singers share their music with the residents of Stanleytown Health Care and Blue Ridge Manor each month. Senior Adult Sunday: Senior Adult Sunday is observed each year, on the first Sunday of May. Friendship Club: The Friendship Club is for all church members and people in our community 50 years of age and older. There are various programs presented and a delicious meal each month. The Friendship Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. (click here to view the church layout) | |
